2011

With 2010 quickly coming to a close, I thought I should give a heads-up to what might be in store for 2011. Firstly, a name change will most likely be in the near future. I will be getting married in October of next year, and for some reason "Katharine Forbis Photography" is just not sounding quite right :) So, I am brainstorming ideas for a new name for my photography.

Secondly, I am working on a new price list. I'm trying not to increase my prices by a ridiculous amount and will most likely remain considerably cheaper than other studios in the area. If you and I have already discussed pricing for a session next year, these new prices will not apply to you. The reason for the price increase is that I am in desperate need of new equipment...and unfortunately it isn't cheap. I would also like to continue to make a profit so that I can work toward the goal of obtaining a small studio sometime in the future. I appreciate your support so much!

Lastly, a new website will (hopefully) be in the works as well. Please stay tuned for more updates - I will do my best to keep everyone in the loop.

Thank you to all of my lovely clients for making 2010 such a wonderful and successful year for me. I look forward to continuing to work with you all and I'm also excited about new clients and new possibilities in 2011. Have a happy and safe holiday season!

Baby Abigail

Abigail's mom Rachael used to work with my fiance at Schupp company. Before she went on maternity leave he gave her my card, and I was thrilled when she contacted me. Her little Abby is now 3 months old and wow is she a cutie! 3 months can be a difficult age to capture, but she was such a wonderful little model. And I was totally obsessed with the red and white striped hat that we used in a few shots...probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

Congratulations to parents Rachael and Brian and I look forward to working with you guys in the future!

Baby Josephine

Everything about Josephine is adorable. I love her name (it was my grandma's) and she has the sweetest little personality. These photos were taken at the City Museum, a perfect backdrop for this playful baby!

Nicole + Andy {Engagement Session}

I love fall. So so much. I'm pretty obsessed with the colors in these photos. And Nicole and Andy are so much fun and SO photogenic. I was having so much fun photographing these two that I lost track of time (and probably made Andy late for work :-/). I'm thrilled to be photographing their wedding next summer!

Thanks for looking!

Jenny + Eric {Maternity Session}

Jenny and her husband Eric are preparing for their 4th child. I met up with them at Quail Ridge Park (which is gorgeous) for my second "official" maternity session. I'd say I lucked out with these two also! Jenny looked so stunning, and bonus - they brought 2 of their adorable children along, who I couldn't help snapping a few shots of :)

Congratulations Jenny and Eric!!
